Easy method of making masala dosa
– To make Masala Dosa, first prepare the batter. For this, wash rice and urad dal and soak them in separate vessels for about 6-8 hours. Once the rice and urad dal are thoroughly soaked, grind them separately in the mixer. Add fenugreek to rice and grind it. Then mix the batter of both the ingredients in a big container and add salt to it. Then keep it overnight.
– After preparing the batter of Dosa, you will have to prepare its filling. To prepare the filling, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a thick bottomed pan and let the mustard seeds crackle. Then add chopped onion, curry leaves, green chillies and fry till well.
Then add a pinch of salt and turmeric powder to it and mix well. Now take chopped potatoes and add them to the roasted onions and mix. Slowly add water to the mixture and let the potatoes boil for about 5 minutes. When the mixture becomes slightly thick, turn off the gas.
– Now take a dosa pan and heat it on low flame. To prepare dosa, put 1 teaspoon oil on it. When the pan becomes hot, pour the batter into it and spread it in a circular manner. When the edges of the dosa turn brown, slow down the flame and sprinkle a few drops of oil on the edges of the dosa and add 2 tablespoons of filling. Now fold the dosa and make it crisp. In this way, make dosa from the batter and then serve masala dosa with coconut chutney and sambar.
